Privacy Policy
Private by design.
Effective July 24, 2026
PointBack is designed to keep your saved places on your device. The developer does not operate a PointBack server and does not receive your saved locations, place names, notes, or usage activity.
Data stored on your device
PointBack stores coordinates, a place name, an optional note, place type, parking state, and creation date in the app's private container. This information is used only to display your saved places and guide you back to them.
Location access
PointBack requests location access while you use the app. Location is required when saving a place, calculating distance, and showing the return direction. Precise Location is requested so a saved point is useful for parking and walking. PointBack does not request background location access.
Apple services
Quick Park may use Apple's geocoding service to generate a nearby place name. Opening a route uses Apple Maps. Information processed by Apple is governed by Apple's privacy policies. The PointBack developer does not receive this information.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
PointBack contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, third-party tracking SDK, account system, or developer-operated network service. PointBack does not track you across apps or websites.
Retention and deletion
Saved places remain on the device until you delete them in PointBack or remove the app. If PointBack detects an unreadable local data file, it may preserve that file inside the app's private container to avoid data loss. Apple-managed device or iCloud backups are controlled through your Apple account and device settings.
Security
Saved-place files use iOS Complete File Protection and remain inside the app sandbox. No security measure is absolute, but PointBack minimizes risk by avoiding developer servers and third-party SDKs.
This website
The PointBack website is a set of static pages delivered through Amazon Web Services (CloudFront and S3). The pages use no cookies, no analytics, no tracking scripts, no advertising, and no contact forms, and the developer does not intentionally retain website visit activity — access logging is disabled.
Children
PointBack is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when PointBack's behavior changes. Questions can be sent to support [at] vo-cloud [dot] com.
